In recent months, during the hardest period in our history, those in power in Israel are attempting to create a fundamentalist society that sanctifies death and is headed toward endless war. In response, many in Israel have been frozen by fear and despair. We, Standing Together, the largest Jewish-Arab grassroots movement in Israel, are choosing to fight for our future and for the lives of all of us here: Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, residents of the periphery and the center. Choosing to build instead of destroy, to lead the camp of life instead of surrendering to the government of death.

What happens here in the coming year will determine our future and that of our children. We are at a historic junction where we must choose the direction we take as a society. Therefore, we are acting on the ground against extreme right-wing activists, fighting to bring down the government, stop the war, and build communities of Jewish and Palestinian citizens who are working together to create a new reality in this land.
